My Edward Cullen

Last Sunday while I was ironing my skirt in a hurry (we are always late for church), I kept telling Adam to hurry up and get dressed. A minute later he was dressed in black church pants, and a black button down shirt with a few buttons undone and the collar popped. He came down the hall and said, "Do I look like Edward Cullen?" in his most seductive voice. I started laughing so hard! He rushed down the hall and said, "Wait, I need to do my hair!" Adam's hair is starting to get really long, and I was laughing even harder when he came back down the hall with something close to Edward's hair. He was making such a serious face and acting weird like Edward does. I had to take a picture, just so I could blog about how funny Adam can be.
I don't know if Adam thinks that I have a little crush on Edward, (I might just a little) or what. I told him that he needed be even whiter than he is now. I love spending time with Adam. He is always doing something to make me laugh and smile. He just makes my life so much better and I think Adam is way better looking than Edward Cullen.

September 14,2010

I just wanted everyone to know that I took my first Anatomy Lab test today, and I got a B+. I took Anatomy a few semesters ago, but I dropped out because I was terrified and not doing that great, and I almost changed my major because of it! This 6:00 a.m. lab thing is actually working out!

Mom's are GREAT

Before our Bridal session Adam's mom and my mom came to the Temple. My mom was helping me get into my dress and calm my nerves. Adam's parents were going to the Temple that night anyways, so we talked with them until Mikki showed up. I love both of our mom's, and I'm so thankful for all of the hard work they put into making my wedding fabulous! Here are some pictures of us and our mom's before our Bridal session

Labor Day 2010

Labor Day for my family means, we're going camping, and I wouldn't want it any other way. This year Adam and I had to work Saturday until 6 o'clock. Earlier that morning, we packed up the tent, the air mattress and our pajama's. When we got off work we headed up to Cedar Mountain for some wilderness fun. I love the drive up Cedar Mountain, we rolled down the windows and turned up the radio. (It was Kenny Chesney, why the radio was turned down in the first place, I don't know.)  We drove past Deer Valley and Duck Creek ( I love duck creek, it's just so little and cute, and it reminds me of being little.) We camped with my family at Stout Canyon. When we got there we had to put up the tent before it got too dark. I was surprised that it didn't take us that long, and Kimber is such a good little helper.
Kimber was so excited to see me, and wanted me to hold her. She is so cute in her GAP sweatshirt.
After we got done setting up the tent, my dad made Adam and I hamburgers for dinner. My dad makes the best hamburgers out there. After dinner we all sat around the fire talking and laughing. The next morning we woke up and ate breakfast. While everyone else ate eggs and sausage, I had Peanut Butter Capn' Crunch. Kimber must have known I was eating something delicious because she came over to the table and wanted to sit by me. I sat her on the bench and noticed that she was staring at my cereal bowl, so I let her have a little taste. I think she might have eaten more than me. We were all laughing when she would open her mouth so big for the spoon, it was just so cute.
I think we will be best friends for a while after this.
After breakfast my dad took Adam, my mom and me for a four wheeler ride. I told my dad that I wanted to to be gone for at least 4 hours. The ride was beautiful, and I even got a little bit sunburned. We drove all the way down to the road. My dad said we could drive a little up the road and get a coke at the rest stop. My mom said, " Won't we get in trouble for riding four wheelers on the street?" My dad replied, "I've been in trouble before." We were all laughing after that. When we got back from the ride we had lunch and took a nap. We had steak fajitas for dinner, and watched Toy Story 2. The next morning I woke up at 7:10, and started packing up the tent. Adam got mad at me because I was rolling up the sleeping bags and he still wanted to sleep until 7:30. I finally got him out of bed and helped him take down the tent. We said goodbye to everyone and headed home. We got cleaned up as fast as we could and headed out to Pine Valley. Adam's family was having a BBQ. It was fun to hang out with everyone and talk to Jodie and Adam's twin brothers. We didn't stay long because Adam and I both had a lot of homework. It was a fun weekend and we really enjoyed getting away.

Back to school

On August 23 Adam and I had to go back to school. Last summer was the first summer I didn't go to school since I graduated from High School, and it was amazing. I loved not going to school and not having to worry about tests or homework when I should be out soaking up the sun. It was so hard to start going back to school, but the night before I started getting those back to school butterflies, and I was excited again. I'm taking Anatomy and Anatomy Lab( my lab is at 6 a.m, twice a week, I hope I can survive getting up at 4 a.m. the rest of the semester.) I really love Anatomy though, it's so interesting and something that I will actually use in my career. I'm also taking a History class, with my mom! I hate History, it's probably the most boring subject ever. If I could join the Chess Club instead of taking History I would, maybe. I never paid attention to History in High school, and sadly I don't know anything about it. I'm just glad that my mom is there to entertain me, and  make sure I show up for class. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't ever go to class. It's been really fun to spend some time with my mom, even though most of the time we have to listen to the teacher. Anyways I'm just excited beacuse I'm kinda close to having my Associates Degree, finally. Adam is taking a math class, and his teacher tutored me in Math 1050, and his dad works with my mom. He is an awesome teacher and I'm glad Adam got into his class. Adam took his first math test tonight, he thinks he got an A. I'm really proud of him, I hope he did. He's also taking English 990. He says he isn't very good at English, so I'm trying to help him out as much as I can. He got an A on his first paragragh, thanks to me for staying up all night telling him what to write. I took English 990, along time ago, but we both have the same teacher. I know he will learn a lot in her class. School is going good so far, we are just counting down the days until Christmas break.

Date Night

The Washington County Fair comes to town every year in August. Last year Adam and I were driving to my house in La Verkin, and I spotted the lights from the fair. We decided to make a quick stop and ride the Ferris Wheel. This year, we decided to go back. I made Adam pay the 4 dollars so that we could go inside the petting zoo. We saw a horse, a bull, bunnies, and I held a snake.
Adam made me ride the Zipper, even though I told him over and over that I hate that ride. I never get sick on rides, expect this one. After a while I don't know if I'm upside or not, and I almost slam into the cage everytime, I was pretty mad when we got off.
I think it's safe to say that I am the worst bowler. Usually my high score in bowling is around 37. A few weeks ago Adam and I went bowling. Adam is usually a pretty good at bowling, but I was on a roll.
We had so much fun laughing at each other, we are both so competitive. We watched each other closely making sure that neither of us were getting too far ahead. I don't know how it happened but we tied! That was the highest score I've ever gotten, and it made Adam so mad that I tied with him. After we went bowling we ate frozen yogurt at Krave. I love spending time with Adam, whether its out doing something or just laying in bed watching chick flicks.

Summer is for Swimmin'

This summer I have spent a lot of time at the pool, and I have loved it. In July, I went to Las Vegas to visit my sister and Kimber. I left early in the morning and my sister, Kimber and I went swimming. I loved playing with Kimber in the pool, she is so cute! She doesn't even cry when she puts her face in the water. She loves kicking and zipping around the pool. Later that day we went to Town Square to shop and eat at California Pizza Kitchen, those two things are a must whenever I go to Las Vegas. It was so nuch fun to hang out with my sister! I miss her so much.
In August we went back to Las Vegas to visit our friends Devon and Vanessa. We surprised Devon when we got there on Friday night. We ate pizza and watched The Fog, and caught up with good friends. On Saturday we went to IHOP for breakfast, then we went to Ceasar's Palace to swim. There is about 6 pools there and it's awesome. I recommend sneaking into the Ceasar's Palace pool. After swimming we ate at CPK, then we decided to go see The Other Guy at the drive in movie. I mostly just slept in the back seat, Adam picked the movie and I didn't love it.
A few weeks later we took a trip to Mesquite. We had a coupon for 2 free nights at the Virgin River. We left Monday afternoon after we both got off work. When we got there, we swam a little at the Virgin River, ate dinner at McDonald's and then gambled a little. The next morning we ate the buffet, Adam was mad at me because I'm a picky eater. Then we drove over to the Casablanca to go swimming, the pool over there is so much better. Later that night we played Bingo. It was the first time I've ever played, and we lost both times. The next morning at 5 a.m. we drove back home so that we could go to work.
We also got to go to Sandhollow with our friends Cheri and Westton Anderson. They have a boat and were nice enough to take us to the lake with them one weekend. We went wakeboarding and tubing, and worked on our tan. I love the lake, and we had so much fun. We love Cheri and Westton, they are such a cute couple. I'm glad that we have such great friends!

I don't have any pictures of me and Krista, but we have had many swimmin' adventures this year. It seemed like whenever Krista and I had the same day off we were at the pool, which was great! We go swimming together a lot every summer, it's our own summer tradition.

Lagoon/50th Anniversary

Two weeks after we got home from our Honeymoon we headed up North to go to Lagoon, and Adam's grandparents celebrated their 50th Anniversary. We left Friday morning at 6 a.m. I slept the whole time on the way up. Last time I was at Lagoon I was a senior in High School, and I thought Lagoon was so boring and dirty.
This time was much more fun. I don't know if it was cleaner then last time, or if the rides were more fun. My favorite ride was Rattle Snake Rapids. I love the water rides and someshow we both got soaked.
The next day we got up and got ready for Adam's Grandma and Grandpa's 50th Anniversary party. We went over to Homestead, in Heber I think, and took pictures on the grass of the whole family. It was so beautiful there, everything was green, and there was flowers everywhere.

After taking pictures, we went back to the house we were staying at and the party started. Adam's family made his Grandparents a quilt with the whole families pictures on it.
After 50 years, Adam's Grandparents still look so happy and in love. They are both so cute and sweet. We had such a good time hanging out with the whole family, we didn't want to go back home.

The Honeymoon

For our Honeymoon we decided to go to Lake Tahoe. Neither of us had ever been there, so we decided it was the best place for us to go together. It was a long 9 hour drive there, but we laughed, sang and talked alot. Most of the drive was desert, and there were some really long roads.
We missed the turn onto the Extraterrestrial Highway and ended up at this dead end. I was kinda scared.
This lovely motel was in Tonopah, Nevada. They are for real about this place.
This lake was a really pretty, and a nice change from the desert scenery.
Poor Adam drove the whole 9 hours!
When we got there, this was waiting for us in our room. I think it was the best chocolate I've ever tasted in my whole life
The view from our room
This creek was by the parking lot, I loved this place.
Our hotel was about 5 minutes from the lake
I loved Lake Tahoe, it was so pretty and green!
The view from the pool
Having dessert at Rosie's Cafe, our view across the street was the lake. It was so pretty!
The Lobby
Shopping in Reno
We ate at a yum pizza place before heading back to St. George. Our honeymoon was a lot of fun. Everyday was perfect weather, it never got over 70 degrees. We went to Carson City to explore and buy groceries so that we could make dinner in our penthouse suite. It was a much needed vacation from all the planning. On our way home we saw some Aliens. I told Adam the story about when I was little and our family was on vacation, my sister would tell me these power lines were Aliens, I started freaking out and my mom told Brin that she better find a way to make me not be afraid. My sister then told me that these Aliens played Barbies. Everything was okay after that. Adam and I had been in the car for so long, that we started acting really silly. It was fun just laughing together, and being together, just the two of us.
