Bridal Shower

Saturday May 22 was my Bridal Shower, I owe the biggest thanks to my maid and matron of honor. Krista and Brinlee did such a great good planning the shower, they are the best! They both worked so hard to coordinate everything and make everything so much fun! I love them both, thank you so much for a fun party. This beautiful arrangement of flowers is from Bloomers Flowers, of course.

Krista and I after the party, she is so cute, and she is such a good host for a party!

The Herpel family, can't wait to be a part of their family in only a few short weeks!

We had fruit pizza and cupcakes that Heidi Smith from Cakes by Design made. They were so good! We had so many left over, I was eating cupcakes for weeks. I also owe a huge thank you to Lanette Smith, Krista's mom. Lanette made about 100 sugar cookies for the fruit pizza. She makes the best sugar cookies, I really appreciate all of her hard work.

Fruit pizza and cupcakes, I was in heaven
We played the bubble gum game where the Maid of Honor asks the groom some questions before the shower and the bride has to answer them at the shower. If she gets a question wrong she has to put a piece of bubble gum in her mouth. Krista asked me the hardest questions ever! I felt like I didn't know any of them and I ate a lot of bubble gum.

Me with my huge wod of gum

I got a ton of awesome gifts. Grandma Herpel and Aunt Elizabeth gave us this beautiful clock.

My mom thought it would be hilarious to give me some frilly lingerie. Krista also bought me some lingerie, they are both really cute. I was shocked that Krista bought me frilly panties because that so isn't her! I was laughing so hard, and my face was probably bright red.

My mom and I, I love her so much! She has been there through this whole wedding planning process. She has been there through the bridezilla moments and my mental breakdowns. I love this picture of us. Thank you mom for everything!

Thank you to all of my friends who came to my shower, I love you all! Thank you for all of your support. I have so many great friends, it's such a blessing.

I got so many great gifts, I can't thank all my family and friends enough for all of the stuff we got from the Shower. I couldn't wait to start decorating our house with all of the fun things we got!

Thank you again Krista! You are my best friend. You are the cutest, sweetest girl I know. You are such a blessing in my life. I'm glad that we are there for each other and that we always have so much fun together. Thank you for making my shower so much fun! I look up to you so much, your such a good example to me. Keep being cute. Love you!

Adam's 24th Birthday

Thursday May 20, was Adam's 24th birthday. That morning I got up and made Adam a Funfetti Birthday cake, did some cleaning and packed for Las Vegas. I called 99.9 Kony radio station and put Adam on the birthday list. While I was cleaning out my car I was listening to the radio for the birthday announcements. Adam came outside to listen with me and when they announced the winners I couldn't believe that Adam had won! He won a cake and a flower bouqet, it was awesome. We got ready and went to Las Vegas in the afternoon. When we got there we went to Circus Circus to go to the Adventure Dome. I told Adm that it would be better if we shopped and ate dinner before we went to The Adventure Dome. We ate at California Pizza Kitchen and I bought Adam some new clothes for his birthday. Unfortunately, when we got to the Adventure Dome around 4 p.m. it was right after the Adventure Dome closed. I felt so bad, Adam just walked away with the saddest look on his face. How can the Adventure Dome close that early? I told Adam that we could do whatever he wanted for his birthday. He called his Friend Paul and he met us at Circus Circus. Adam decided that he wanted to go to the Pawn shop that has the TV show Pawn Stars. Then we decided to go walk around on the Strip watching the water show, and hanging out. Later that night we slept at my sister house after eating Taco Bell. I promised to make Adam's 25th birthday much better then the last one.
I'm so sad that I didn't get any pictures on his birthday, I guess there is almost next year though.

In May I'd finished with school and was concentrating on finishing up all of the details for the wedding, I still needed to make a slide show, find wedding favors, make a sign in book and send out invitations. Everything was coming together really well, and I was so excited for the big day. It was going to be a very busy month with several different parties going on at the end of May, but I was so excited everything that was going on.

Bridal Pictures

In April we took our Bridal pictures. It had been about 80 degrees everyday that week, then when Saturday came it was a nice 64 degrees. That made it so much better to wear my wedding dress. I was so excited to wear it, it had been hanging in my closet for so long! I got my hair done by Karrie Werner at Team Angels, she is awesome! Krista Bagley did my nails, love her too! And I got a new pedicure to go with my new blue shoes. After that I met my mom in the Dillard's bathroom to put on our make up together. It was really fun! After that I changed into my dress in the temple visitor center and met Mikki outside the temple to start our session. It was so much fun again! We were both so much more comfortable in front of the camera since we had been through it before. Mikki kept calling Adam, Matt on accident. At one point we couldn't take it anymore and bursted out laughing. She is such a cute, fun girl. It was fun taking pictures at the temple, so beautiful! And hiking in my high hills to the top of the Dixie hill was kinda interesting. My dress was only kinda dirty. We had a lot of fun!

After our session was over Adam and I went to Olive Garden for dinner for a little date. I couldn't believe it was only 2 more months before we got married. I couldn't wait. I'm so blessed to have Adam in my life and we have so much fun together no matter what we're doing.

Engagment Pictures

In March we took our engagement pictures. I think pictures are the most stressful part of planning a wedding. We decided to take them in Salt Lake because there are so many awesome places up there. The day we left I got my hair done, I am a blonde again, finally. I got my nails done and had a pedicure. Everything was new and I wanted it to be that way in the pictures. I had been checking the weather every few hours for chances of rain. I didn't want to make the trip up to Salt Lake just to have it rain on our pictures. There was thirty percent chance of rain on Saturday. When I finally got home from pampering myself we left for Salt Lake. The next day when I got up, I went straight to the window to check to see if it was going to rain. It wasn't, so I finally could take a breath. I got ready and my mom and I went shopping at Thanksgiving point, while the guys went over to Cabela's. We had so much fun shopping around. Later that afternoon we met Mikki (our awesome photographer). We took pictures at Lehi Mills. It was so much fun, and we laughed a lot at each other and Mikki. I'm so happy at how these pictures turned out. It was going to be tough to pick one for our announcement.

Mikki is such an awesome photographer, she is so cute and so sweet! She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. Check out Mikki's other work at http://www.capturedbymikki.com/blog/

Febuary 2010

Every year in Febuary my sister and I get together for the Parade of Homes. It's so much fun to go and look at all the beautiful houses. This year Adam and I went together, there was so many beautiful houses. The weather was perfect, and the sunsets everynight were so pretty. It took us a few days to get through the whole list of houses. I can't wait until next year. I hope that Me and Adam can go with Brin and Kyle next time!
For Valentine's Day my whole family went to church together. It was fun to play with Kimber during Sacrament, and giggle with my sister. After church Adam gave me a balloon and a gift card to Bath and Body Works. I gave him a Smokey Joe so that we could grill in our backyard. For dinner my whole family drove up to Springdale and went to Zion Pizza and Noodle. If you haven't been, you really should go. It's my favorite place to eat lately. After dinner we went over to the candy shop across the street and picked out some candy for dessert. The drive home from Springdale is always beautiful and it was a perfect end to the day.
