October 2010

I really don't like the month of October, and I never really have. I don't like the scary commercials, scary movies on every channel, and the spooky isles at the store. This October has been my least favorite of all. I have been sick this entire month which is making me feel like I haven't slept for 2 weeks. I've missed lots of class, and just want to lay in bed. Earlier this month I choked on a pretzel, and Adam practically had to give me the heimlich maneuver. A few days ago I left my rings on the bathroom counter, and my cat knocked them into the sink. I got very lucky, she only knocked the one with the big diamond into the sink and it got caught in the drain. My wedding band was missing for a half a day when I found it in my closet underneath my high heels. I cried all day long, and Adam had to take apart our whole sink for nothing. There is one thing I love about October, Thriller at Tuachan. I think I've been 5 years in a row now. It's the only kinda scary thing I like about Halloween and I love the hot chocolate there. This year Adam and I went with my mom. I had so much fun and can't wait to go back next year. I'm so sad that we didn't get any pictures with the creeper's this year. I'm so excited about Halloween this year, which is really weird for me. We're going to Big Bear this weekend and I cannot wait. Our friends Devon and Vanessa invited us to stay with them at their time share. How nice are they, right? I'm excited for a non-scary (I hope) Halloween, and just hanging out causing trouble.

Twenty-two

On September 30, I turned 22 years old. My birthday was so much fun, and I got to spend time with some of my most favorite people. Early that morning when my alrarm went off at 4 a.m., telling me it was time to get up to go to school, I decided to roll over and go back to sleep. (I shouldn't have to go to school at 6 a.m. on my birthday, right?) When I woke up I did some laundry and took a shower. Adam took me, my mom and Adam's mom to breakfast at The Egg and I. Adam's mom gave me some awesome Mary Kay stuff. After Breakfast my mom and I went and got pedicures, it was so nice to be pampered on my birthday. I painted my toes red with zebra strips. I went and got my hair trimmed and colored. The day I get to have my hair colored is the best day ever. It always makes me feel so much better.

When I came home Adam gave me my birthday present. I had picked out some shoes and a scarf a few weeks earlier, and now I finally get to wear them. Adam gave me the sweetest card, and a Happy Birthday balloon. Krista came over and gave me a present. Krista writes the best cards, I keep every card she writes to me. She gave me an Olive Garden gift card and a bell for my bike! I was so excited, and I need to ask Adam to put it on for me.

While I was putting on my make-up Adam came in with a cupcake on a plate. I told him all I wanted for my birthday was a cupcake from The Sweet Tooth Fairy. I had been begging him all week to take me there so I could get a pumpkin cheesecake cupcake. I'm addicted to that place. He had put a candle on the cupcake and I got to blow it out. Adam is so sweet and so nice to me. He told me that since he didn't know how to bake a cake, a cupcake would have to do. It was delicious.

Around 4 o'clock my mom came over, we got in my car and left for Las Vegas. It was fun talking and laughing with Adam and my mom. When we got to Vegas we went shopping at Town Square. I couldn't find anything that I would wear, so we went to California Pizza Kitchen. I think my family is getting sick of eating there because it's my very favorite. I always get the same thing, and I'm always so happy there. After dinner we went to Godiva and I got a free piece of chocolate for my birthday. Our friends Devon and Vanessa came to Town Square and gave me a Victoria Secret girft card. They are such sweet friends, and we love hanging out with them. We made a quick stop to Victoria Secret, and then headed over to the Venetian. We got to ride on the Gondola! It was the funniest ride I've ever been on. I think the Gondola driver, who was singing very loud, was embarrassing Adam. I owe him big time for taking me on the Gondola. We also gambled a little, but I didn't win any money so we decided to go home. It was such a long drive, and I was ready for some sleep. Adam slept in the back seat the whole way and my mom was dozing in and out. When we got back to our house, my mom gave me my birthday present. She gave me a camera! Now I can add pictures to my posts again.

Kimber wanted to sit on Adam's lap, it was so cute! Eating my ice cream sundae at CPK.
I'm grateful for all my friends and family who helped make my birthday the best one yet. I'm so happy to have Adam in my life. I hope he knows how great he made my birthday this year.

Swiss Days

Last time I went to Swiss Days I could walk around the corner to the parade, and Swiss Days was the Park by my house. This year, I went with my parents and Brinlee and Kimber. During the parade Kimber and I ran after candy and enjoyed the floats. My mom and I walked around together looking at all of the booths. She bought a beautiful mirror and I got picture to hang above my fireplace. It started getting really hot so we left and went to Krumpet's, where I stocked up on Halloween and Thanksgiving decorations. We met my sister and Kimber, Krista and Addi and my dad at my house. We played with Zoey, and the little babies ran around the house. Later, we went to Wal-mart and the mall for some fun shopping and then Red Robin for lunch. I have missed hanging out with my sister and my mom. It was fun to go out and shop all day together.

Dixie Round Up

Every year our family goes to the Dixie Round Up Rodeo, and I have always loved going. We always have reserved seating and a lot of our family gets together. This year was so much fun, and I think it was the most entertaining rodeo I've ever been to. We had a lot of fun and can't wait until next year!
Kimber loved all the horses and baby cows! She was so much fun to watch. How cute are those pink boots?

After the Round up Adam and I changed into our pajama's, grabbed Zoey and had a slumber party at my mom's house! It was fun sleeping at my old house and spending time with my family!

Zoey

Since we got married Adam has been begging me to let him get a kitten. He doesn't like the cat I already have because he thinks she acts like a brat (she is a brat, I taught her to be that way on purpose.) The other day while I was working Adam called me to ask if he could please get a kitten. I told him that I would go over to Wal-mart and look at it after I got off work. Adam said she was free and that he would bring her over to Island Tans so that I could decide. She is only about 6 weeks old, and I couldn't resist her sweet face. I decided that it would be okay if we got her, but he needed to get a litter box and some canned food. She is such a fun, sweet, crazy kitten. She isn't afraid of anything, except maybe Lindsay, my other cat. So far she is fun to have, but more responsiblity than I remember. She loves Adam, and she will meow for him to 2 hours until he comes home. We love watching her run around, jumping off the couches and running into walls. Adam says that Zoey is my birthday present, but I think that is just his way of saying that I have to take care of her.
Lindsay is my other cat, named after Lindsay Lohan. I got her as a birthday present when I was 19.
