Engagment Pictures

In March we took our engagement pictures. I think pictures are the most stressful part of planning a wedding. We decided to take them in Salt Lake because there are so many awesome places up there. The day we left I got my hair done, I am a blonde again, finally. I got my nails done and had a pedicure. Everything was new and I wanted it to be that way in the pictures. I had been checking the weather every few hours for chances of rain. I didn't want to make the trip up to Salt Lake just to have it rain on our pictures. There was thirty percent chance of rain on Saturday. When I finally got home from pampering myself we left for Salt Lake. The next day when I got up, I went straight to the window to check to see if it was going to rain. It wasn't, so I finally could take a breath. I got ready and my mom and I went shopping at Thanksgiving point, while the guys went over to Cabela's. We had so much fun shopping around. Later that afternoon we met Mikki (our awesome photographer). We took pictures at Lehi Mills. It was so much fun, and we laughed a lot at each other and Mikki. I'm so happy at how these pictures turned out. It was going to be tough to pick one for our announcement.

Mikki is such an awesome photographer, she is so cute and so sweet! She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. Check out Mikki's other work at http://www.capturedbymikki.com/blog/

Febuary 2010

Every year in Febuary my sister and I get together for the Parade of Homes. It's so much fun to go and look at all the beautiful houses. This year Adam and I went together, there was so many beautiful houses. The weather was perfect, and the sunsets everynight were so pretty. It took us a few days to get through the whole list of houses. I can't wait until next year. I hope that Me and Adam can go with Brin and Kyle next time!
For Valentine's Day my whole family went to church together. It was fun to play with Kimber during Sacrament, and giggle with my sister. After church Adam gave me a balloon and a gift card to Bath and Body Works. I gave him a Smokey Joe so that we could grill in our backyard. For dinner my whole family drove up to Springdale and went to Zion Pizza and Noodle. If you haven't been, you really should go. It's my favorite place to eat lately. After dinner we went over to the candy shop across the street and picked out some candy for dessert. The drive home from Springdale is always beautiful and it was a perfect end to the day.

January 2010

On New Year's Eve we rang in the New Year with our friends Devon and Vanessa, after eating dinner with our other friends Dan and Traci. We decided to go to Mesquite and go bowling. It was a good time, even though I am a horriable bowler. Before midnight they handed out noise makers and at midnight we all made lots of noise. It was a good New Year, we love hangin' out with Devon and Vanessa.
One day Adam and I decided to go over to Santa Clara and start working on the house. When we got there the door was locked, and I had the wrong key. We needed to kill some time so we decided to go to the Wildlife Museum in St. George since we had free tickets. We thought it would be boring and really cheesy, but we had so much fun! The museum is awesome! There is so many animals and it was so fun!

In January we started fixing up the house so that we could move in after we got married. We spent so many hours scraping cottage cheese from the ceiling, washing and painting walls and cleaning and oiling cabinets. The house is so nice with new carpet and fresh paint. It's so much fun living in Santa Clara again and living in the house that I grew up in.

We also started some serious wedding planning in January. I had picked out my dress and decided on a Venue. January was a busy month trying to start school and plan a wedding all at the same time. I was a little more excited to plan a wedding than to study for school. It was a lot more fun to look at cakes, favors, menus and flowers than to study for physiology.

Christmas 2009

I love that Adam's parent's live in Pine Valley. I love the drive up there, and we get a white Christmas. For Christmas Eve, I hung out with my mom wrapping presents and making my dad watch How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and Elf. When Adam got off work, he picked me up and we drove to Pine Valley around 8 0'clock. When we got there we read the Christmas story from the scriptures and hung out around the fire before we went to bed. On Christmas morning I woke up and it was 7:30! I have never slept that long on Christmas morning in my entire life! I woke Adam up, and then woke up the rest of the family! We put together our Lego's from our stockings and then when everyone was ready we opened our presents! I got a portable DVD player (no more boring Saturdays at work, HOORAY!) I also got some beautiful earrings, and a spa kit from Adam's mom. After we opened presents we ate breakfast. Adam's mom makes this delicious hot spice punch every year. It's my new favorite drink. We also had pancakes, and muffins. After breakfast we said goodbye to everyone and headed for La Verkin.

Since we spent Christmas Eve and Christmas morning at Adam's parent's house we didn't get to my house until 2 o'clock. My sister and I decided that we would wait for each other to open presents. We ate Christmas dinner with my family and then at 7 o'clock my sister came back home and we opened presents, again! I got a beach bike, a snuggie and a gift card to American Eagle. Christmas was so much fun, it's my favorite holiday. My dad even lit the fireplace without complaining! It's a miracle! Our Christmas Tree and my bike!

Thanksgiving 2009

For Thanksgiving, Adam and I went up to Pine Valley around 2 p.m. We visited with his family and helped set the tables. Everyone arrived around 5 o' clock for dinner, it was a delicious Thanksgiving dinner. Adam's whole family gets together on Thanksgiving and it was so great! I had so much fun. Before dinner everyone stands up and says something they are thankful for. Adam said he was thankful for having me in his life, I thought that was so sweet. After a huge piece of turkey, and three slices of pie we decided to leave Pine Valley and go to Cedar City, where my family was celebrating Thanksgiving at my Aunt Kathy's. Even though I was stuffed I couldn't pass up eating Unc's rolls and Aunt Kathy's Thanksgiving dinner. I love Thanksgiving. By the time we got there, everyone was starting to leave. We hung out for a while talking to Aunt Kathy and Unc, and my family. I'm so grateful for family, and I have so many great people in my life.

Engaged!!

On November 8, 2009 Adam and I got engaged. The week before he proposed we were on our way to Las Vegas to play when he said to me, " Kenna, I can't keep a secret anymore. I have your ring." He had such a cute smile on his face, he looked so excited. I tried to get him to tell me where it was, and when he was going to pop the question. That part he wasn't giving up.

After church on November 8 we went up to Zion National Park. It was the perfect day. We decided to hike Angel's Landing. He made me hike all the way to the top before he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was so sweet. Our lives turned upside down that day.

After hiking back down to the car, we went to dinner at Zion Pizza and Pasta. It was a perfect day. I am so glad that I have Adam in my life. He is so much fun to be around, always so sweet, and so handsome!

My 21st Birthday

Before we left for California my mom and Adam took me to breakfast at the Egg and I. Adam also gave me the sweetest card, chocolate, balloons and some roses. I love him so much! I was going to miss him while I was in California!

When we first got to California we went straight to Angel Stadium to watch a baseball game. It was my first professional baseball game. It was so much fun! We ate a hot dog and watched a good game, and the Angel's won!

We stayed the the Paradise Pier Hotel in California. It was a fun and Disney themed Hotel, they had the best breakfast every morning. For my birthday I got to talk to Goofy, they gave us special buttons to wear in the park, and they gave us mickey shaped rice krispy treats with milk. My mom and I got to ride everything we wanted to at the park, we spent four days at Disneyland! Adam, Brinlee, Kimber and Kyle came down the last few days and did it all over again! We got to ride eveything we wanted to!

My family made my 21st birthday the best ever! I'm so glad that I got to go to Disneyland! I'm so glad my mom enjoyed Disneyland, and I can't wait to go back in May 2011!
