The Honeymoon

For our Honeymoon we decided to go to Lake Tahoe. Neither of us had ever been there, so we decided it was the best place for us to go together. It was a long 9 hour drive there, but we laughed, sang and talked alot. Most of the drive was desert, and there were some really long roads.
We missed the turn onto the Extraterrestrial Highway and ended up at this dead end. I was kinda scared.
This lovely motel was in Tonopah, Nevada. They are for real about this place.
This lake was a really pretty, and a nice change from the desert scenery.
Poor Adam drove the whole 9 hours!
When we got there, this was waiting for us in our room. I think it was the best chocolate I've ever tasted in my whole life
The view from our room
This creek was by the parking lot, I loved this place.
Our hotel was about 5 minutes from the lake
I loved Lake Tahoe, it was so pretty and green!

Having dessert at Rosie's Cafe, our view across the street was the lake. It was so pretty!

Shopping in Reno
We ate at a yum pizza place before heading back to St. George. Our honeymoon was a lot of fun. Everyday was perfect weather, it never got over 70 degrees. We went to Carson City to explore and buy groceries so that we could make dinner in our penthouse suite. It was a much needed vacation from all the planning. On our way home we saw some Aliens. I told Adam the story about when I was little and our family was on vacation, my sister would tell me these power lines were Aliens, I started freaking out and my mom told Brin that she better find a way to make me not be afraid. My sister then told me that these Aliens played Barbies. Everything was okay after that. Adam and I had been in the car for so long, that we started acting really silly. It was fun just laughing together, and being together, just the two of us.

So far the BEST day ever!

I never really wanted to get married in the Temple. Whenever I would think about my wedding day, it didn't include going to the Temple. When I met Adam, I was a different person and he made me want to go to the Temple. I wanted to be with him forever. After meeting Adam, I couldn't see myself getting married anywhere else besides in the Temple. It was a great experience, and I'm glad that I had a change of heart.
Our friends Devon and Vanessa met us at the Temple, and took this picture of us before going in. Inside the temple I didn't know where my mom was, and it was getting closer and closer to the ceremony. I was sitting there, for what seemed like an hour, wondering if my mom was going to make it. When I came out of the room I saw Adam's mom and she hugged me and I couldn't help but cry. I wanted my mom, I was so nervous. I'm just glad Adam's mom was there to keep from completely falling apart. Thank you Kalynn for comforting me, and calming my nerves.

Getting Ready

The Temple

The Temple was such an amazing experience. Although I was so nervous, I enjoyed every minute of it, I couldn't believe I was really there and it was so beautiful. While coming out of the Temple to see our family and friends, I tripped on the top stair, surprising huh? I really am so clumsy.
Adam and I were laughing so hard, I don't think anyone noticed that I tripped. Thanks to Adam for catching my fall.

I think this might have been the day Ayla stopped being afraid of me, I told her she was a princess.
Me and my good looking cousin, Austin.
When we came out of the temple, Krista was the first one I hugged. Everytime Krista cries, I have to cry, no matter what. She made me cry when she hugged me. She is the sweetest, cutest girl I know.
Adam and his good friend Dan.
I love this picture of Krista and Ayla. Krista said that she would get close to Ayla to take the picture and Ayla would move away. She is so cute.

It was so hot outside that day, but it was so much fun taking pictures with everyone. I'm glad everyone was able to come to the Temple and share with experience with Adam and I.

Ring Ceremony

The Ring Ceremony was held in the backyard of the reception house by the pool. A few weeks before the wedding we asked our Bishop in La Verkin if he would do a ring ceremony for Adam and I. He agreed, but when the day came, he never showed up. Adam asked his dad if he would say a few words so that we could have a ring ceremony. I felt so bad, Mark looked like he was going to pass out. He did such a great job, and I really appreciate him for saving the day!
Mark didn't let us off that easy, he surprised us with making us say some words on the spot. Adam knew exactly what to say, he told me that he would love me, care for me, and protect me no matter what, for the rest of forever. It was so sweet and I was crying. I didn't know he could come up with something so sweet on the spot.
When it was my turn, I was already crying and laughing and already nervous about what I was going to say, but I told him that I'd love him forever.
